Leaving for Xian

Weather: 55F and cloudy
Time: 4:45pm Friday

I am in my final hour before leaving for Xian. I have packed my bag for a short weekend trip. We are leaving tonight by train at 8pm local time and will arrive at 10am Saturday. The plan is to do as much as we can before leaving 5pm Sunday. We hopefully will get to Mt. Huashan and get to walk the plank path.

I really do want to hike that path, but I am not sure we have enough time to get there.  It will remain my goal and hopefully someone else will be crazy enough to come with me.

Best wishes, I will return to Shanghai on Monday morning after sleeping on the train for 14 hrs.

While surfing the net before leaving, I came across a gizmodo posting an article that had the plank path in it, and I enjoyed known that I may be doing just that this weekend.  Whether there is a restaurant up there or not... I'll let you know.
