Seeing Shanghai

Weather: 70F Sunny
Time: 9:20am

My brother arrived not long ago and now we've been seeing the city as much as we can.  Today we're heading to Beijing for a few days to enjoy a more traditional China scene.

So Far, Day 1
We saw a lot of the town, moving quickly though the fabric market - we headed to lunch at People's Square.  Saw the future of Shanghai in the Urban planning museum and headed out shopping after that to the Nanjing Road pedestrian street.  We walked to the Bund and also crossed the river to have dinner near the Oriental Pearl.
9th
We spent a lot of time getting places and got a few menial tasks done and got to old town for most of the day.  The time was split between the traditional Chinese garden, Yu Yuan, and seeing what small shop vendors had for sale.
10th
World Expo all day.

Beijing
Today we're heading to Beijing in the early afternoon.  Every night has been very short because of the long days, we're taking this opportunity to get ready for some more long days.  We're flying out of PVG at 2:10pm and landing back in Shanghai on Friday at 9:15pm.  Planning on seeing the sights! Great Wall, Summer Palace, etc etc etc.

Heading Home
I am looking forward to being back in the United States.  Some of the friends on this trip left on the same flight I am taking, one week early.  They touched down in Chicago at 6:35pm EST and it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up today.  I am really looking forward 7 days from now.
